This was a wedding present by my beloved friend Nur and since then it has become of the most important pieces of our collection in Istanbul.

The photograph here does little justice for its beauty. I think I need to get a better picture when I am back in Istanbul.

It is the figure of a woman balancing sun and moon (and herself) on one foot.

Most probably, this was a very carefully selected present, to remind me how important it is to have a woman in your life who can balance multiple priorities and still keep her balance.

Looking at it, I see it as a perfect representation of my beloved wife. Always (and successfully) trying to balance a lot of things…
